About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Active Care Group. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, intervention, and support to our residents with complex communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessments and management of communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement evidence-led therapy programmes at a specialist level, with a focus on multidisciplinary working to achieve optimal outcomes for our residents
  • Maintain high standards of clinical care, adhering to national guidelines for excellence
  • Named Therapist duties to ensure cohesive goal-setting and therapy coordination
  • Participate in internal training and professional development opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes of practice and regulations
  • Contribute to service delivery audit and quality improvement initiatives

Person Specification
  • HCPC registration
  • Specialist level dysphagia competency on RCSLT framework
  • Previous experience working in a neurorehabilitation setting
  • Experience in working with aphasia, cognitive communication disorder, dysarthria, apraxia, and dysphagia
  • Ability to motivate patients over short and long periods
