Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with diverse industrial locations, primarily across the UK and Ireland.
  • Conduct Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation site evaluations, performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on existing systems to ensure peak performance and dependability.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical challenges, determining root causes and implementing effective resolutions.
  • Deliver both remote and on-site technical assistance to clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing prompt solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients by providing outstanding service and acting as a dependable technical specialist.
  • Maintain precise and thorough records of service engagements, technical challenges, solutions, and client interactions.
  • Travel to client locations as necessary, often with little notice, to perform maintenance and repairs. Flexibility in travel arrangements is crucial.
  • Comply with Fike's SHEQ and regulatory standards.

  • Willingness to assist in other European regions as needed.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge

  • HNC (or equivalent experience) in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably focused on Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
  • Proficient in using Windows, Gmail, Word, and Excel.
  • Multi-disciplinary background – electrical, mechanical, controls, and instrumentation.
  • Valid driving license – ideally clean.

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated field maintenance experience, preferably within the industrial sector.
  • CompEx certification.
  • Familiarity with ATEX environments.
  • C&G 2330 (or 2365) parts 2 & 3.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • IPAF certification.
  • Health & Safety qualification.
