We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Advisor to join our team at Learning Curve Group. As a Learning Support Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting our learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at our Wakefield Military Academy.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide learning support in 1:1 and group settings to ensure learners have access to the full range of learning experiences.
- Aid access to learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom, including modified materials and instructions as required.
- Organize and maintain an inclusive learning environment that promotes positive reinforcement and rewards for learners.
- Facilitate inclusion in small group activities and support interaction between learners.
- Attend in-service training and relevant meetings to stay up-to-date with developments in SEND.
- Work collaboratively with the SENCo and other agencies to ensure the well-being and personal development of learners.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with Post 16 learners.
- Knowledge and experience of working with learners with EHCPs.
- Training in aspects of SEN, including ADHD, Dyslexia, and Autism.
- GCSE or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English.
- NVQ or equivalent as recognized by the National Occupational Standards for Supporting Teaching and Learning.
- Adaptable and patient approach to supporting learners.
