External Sales Representative

We are seeking an experienced External Sales Representative to join our team at Arco Recruitment. Our client is a leading builders' merchant dedicated to providing high-quality building materials, tools, and supplies to the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory, developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly, acting as the main point of contact for customers and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the company's product range and services, staying updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors.
  • Reporting and Administration: Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the Sales Manager, keeping accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an external sales role, within a builders merchant.
  • Strong knowledge of building materials and supplies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

What We Offer:

  • Salary up to £45,000 + company car, phone, laptop.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday only.
