Job Title: Store Floor Assistant

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland

Position Overview: We are in search of a dedicated and customer-oriented Store Floor Assistant to enhance our operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering a pleasant and efficient shopping atmosphere for our clientele. Your duties will encompass maintaining store aesthetics, assisting shoppers, and facilitating daily activities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers with a friendly demeanor upon their arrival and assist them throughout their shopping journey.
  • Offer detailed product insights, suggestions, and effectively respond to customer questions.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and visually attractive store floor, ensuring products are displayed neatly.
  • Restock merchandise on the sales floor, managing inventory levels and product arrangement.
  • Participate in inventory management, including stock assessments and replenishment.
  • Process customer transactions at the checkout, handling cash, card payments, and managing returns or exchanges.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Promote ongoing promotions, sales, and loyalty initiatives to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets and uphold exceptional customer service standards.
  • Assist in store operations by performing tasks such as organizing displays and managing stockroom duties.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, to maintain a secure shopping environment.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in retail or customer service is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • A positive outlook and enthusiasm for delivering outstanding customer service.
