Location: City of London

Compensation: £65,000 to £67,500 base salary depending on experience, plus two annual discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Role Responsibilities:

We are pleased to partner with our esteemed client in their search for a Lead Financial Planner within the UK Additions Team. This role entails evaluating trading activities, client portfolios, and accounts to provide FCA-regulated advice on matters such as pension transfers, bond surrenders, investment taxation, and account structure suitability. Reporting to the team leader, this position is client-facing and involves conducting fact-finding discussions, drafting suitability reports, and delivering advice. The role follows a hybrid working model.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fact-finding discussions with clients to assess objectives, portfolio holdings, time horizons, cash flow requirements, and financial situations to formulate appropriate asset allocation recommendations.
  • Review and develop plans for clients with unique financial circumstances.
  • Evaluate existing pension and investment bond arrangements for their suitability for transfer or surrender.
  • Communicate advice directly to clients and present written proposals and recommendations for transfers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance client outcomes through resource development and training.
  • Engage in ad hoc projects aimed at improving operational efficiency.
  • Comply with the T&C scheme to ensure adherence to regulatory standards related to the provision of regulated advice.

Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 4 Qualification – CII Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning or CISI Investment Advice (Diploma preferred).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services is required.
  • Strong grasp of Financial Planning principles and client suitability.
  • Proficient in working with precision and managing time effectively.
  • Quantitative in nature, with the ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic team environment.
  • Initial Fit and Proper (F&P) assessment required prior to independent role performance, with annual Fit & Proper Assessments to ensure ongoing compliance.
