Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of support workers, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure the delivery of person-centred care.
- Care Planning: Develop and implement care plans, tailored to the individual needs of service users, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with service users, their families, and external stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Support and Assistance: Provide hands-on support and assistance to service users, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements
- Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a leadership role within the healthcare sector, preferably working with individuals with learning disabilities.
- Compassion and Empathy: A compassionate and empathetic nature, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including CQC standards, and flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Passion for Care: A genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.
