English Subject Improvement Lead

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as Assistant English Subject Improvement Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving improvements in English attainment across our secondary schools.
As Assistant English Subject Improvement Lead, you will work closely with the English Improvement Lead to embed best practice and build capacity in line with our policies and frameworks. You will help drive improvements in English attainment by skilfully co-ordinating and supporting both curriculum intent and implementation in English at designated schools.
You will also lead the development and successful implementation of our Reading Strategy, ensuring that our students receive the best possible education in English.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in English education, with a degree in English and Qualified Teacher Status. You will also need to have a National Professional Qualification (NPQ) in middle or senior leadership, as well as experience of delivering outstanding results consistently and a track record of improving results as a subject leader.
You will have a deep understanding of the AQA specification in GCSE English Language and Literature, and experience of developing and delivering high-impact intervention programmes. You will also be able to analyse assessment data and use it effectively to identify and close gaps in learning.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about securing life-changing outcomes for young people in disadvantaged communities, and who has a proven track record of delivering training and coaching for English teachers.
