We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Leader to join our Transformation Unit team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of theatre practitioners and theatre support staff in the Emergency Theatres department at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting standards and supporting their team to deliver high-quality, safe, and productive services for our patients. They will also be responsible for floor control, coordinating theatre activity to cover 24/7 service delivery, and providing a direct line of contact for wider site and Trust-wide actions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership style, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to lead from the front. They will be able to prioritize tasks, manage change, and analyze activity data to plan workforce accordingly.
Main Duties of the Job- Set standards and support the team to deliver high-quality services
- Lead a team of theatre practitioners and theatre support staff
- Coordinate theatre activity to cover 24/7 service delivery
- Provide a direct line of contact for wider site and Trust-wide actions
- Practice clinically in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for a defined caseload
- Degree in Nursing or equivalent Health-related subject
- Recent experience supporting learners
- Clinical leadership program
- Recognized NMC/HCPC teaching and assessing qualification
- Evidence of extensive post-registration experience with additional years in deputy position in clinical environment
- Demonstrates high-level clinical expertise
- Good understanding of quality, safety, and risk management
- Ability to lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Acts as a clinical role model and support for learners in the area
- Ability to prioritize
- Evidence of successful change management
- Can analyze activity data and plan workforce accordingly
- In-depth knowledge of all aspects of theatre processes and patient care
