About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Support Worker to join our dynamic Aseptic Team at Grimsby Hospital. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safe and effective preparation of essential medications for patients.
As a Pharmacy Support Worker, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our Aseptic Preparation Suite. You will be responsible for assisting with the dispensing and preparation of chemotherapy, CIVAS, and parenteral nutrition products, adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of a range of medications within the Aseptic Preparation Suite.
- Contribute to the delivery of our Clinical Trials service, ensuring accurate and timely medication administration.
- Support environmental monitoring and cleaning procedures within the Aseptic Preparation Suite, maintaining a sterile environment.
Training and Development
We are committed to your professional growth. You will receive comprehensive in-house training, including bespoke modules on dispensing techniques and the preparation of intravenous chemotherapy, parental nutrition, and other specialized medications. Upon successful completion of this program, you will progress to a higher-level Pharmacy Support Worker role within our team.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting is essential.
- A strong commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.
