Job Overview

We are seeking a Pharmacy Support Worker to join our Pharmacy Aseptic Team at Grimsby Hospital. The successful candidate will have a keen attention to detail, a flexible approach to working, and good communication skills.

The role involves preparation and dispensing of chemotherapy, CIVAS and parenteral nutrition products within the Aseptic Preparation Suite. The candidate may be required to work flexibly in supporting the Trust's directive of 7 day working, participating in rotas and / or shift working as necessary.

Main Responsibilities

  • Preparation and dispensing of chemotherapy, CIVAS and parenteral nutrition products within the Aseptic Preparation Suite.
  • Assist with the delivery of the Clinical Trials service.
  • Assist with the environmental monitoring and cleaning of the Aseptic Preparation Suite.

Person Specification

Education and Qualifications

  • NVQ level 2 Pharmacy Services qualification or equivalent within Pharmacy.
  • Sound educational background- GCSE level C or above (or equivalent) or proven numeracy/literacy skills to an acceptable level.

Occupational Experience

  • Previous pharmacy experience in hospital or community pharmacy.
