Job Summary

Geneva Trading is seeking a seasoned trader to lead our OTC oil commodities trading team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative trading strategies, managing trading risks, and overseeing a team of traders in energy markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, oversee, and mentor a team of traders in energy markets, promoting a culture of high performance and excellence.
  • Risk Management: Rigorously identify and manage trading risks, ensuring strict adherence to both company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Trading Strategies: Develop and execute innovative trading strategies in alignment with market dynamics, leveraging your expertise in oil commodities and their derivatives.
  • Financial Performance: Monitor and manage financial performance, setting and achieving profit targets while ensuring the company's financial stability.
  • Liaison: Serve as the primary liaison with both internal and external parties, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all trading activities meet applicable laws and company policies, staying updated on market trends and regulatory changes.
Requirements
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in a field directly relevant to trading activities, such as finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Substantive OTC trading experience, with a focus on risk management and a deep understanding of oil commodities and their derivatives.
  • Skills: Familiarity with proprietary trading systems, ability to develop and execute strategies based on in-depth market analysis, and strong leadership and communication skills.
