Commodities Trading Systems Engineer

Career Opportunity:
We are looking for a talented Commodities Trading Systems Engineer to become an integral part of our organization. In this role, you will be instrumental in the deployment of a vendor E/CTRM platform, focusing on the automation of operational workflows for our Commodities division.
Essential Technical Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience as a backend Developer, with a strong emphasis on Python (required) and/or C# (preferred)
- Demonstrated expertise in the design and development of backend applications
- Experience with messaging frameworks such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Solace, etc.
- Proficient in code optimization, performance enhancement, and thorough testing
- Solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database systems
- Skilled in application development, including user authentication, API integration, testing, and version control
- Strong analytical capabilities and adept problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline
Desirable Product Knowledge:
- Previous experience with E/CTRM vendor software solutions such as Endur, Allegro, CXL, Entrade, Brady, etc.
- Familiarity with energy and commodity markets, encompassing US and European Power, Gas, Oil, Coal, Metals, and Emissions
- Knowledge of OTC products and securities trading
- Understanding of transaction reporting, reconciliation processes, and position management
