Assistant Construction Manager - Rail Electrification

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Construction Manager - Rail Electrification to join our team in Manchester. This is an on-site role that requires a strong understanding of railway construction management, particularly in the OLE discipline.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Construction Manager in delivering allocated contracts safely and in accordance with legislation and Alliance procedures.
  • Supervise and deliver approved construction programmes to agreed resource and cost plans.
  • Monitor sub-contractors, contract staff, and contingent/direct labour for allocated site activities.
  • Attend the office on site as required and be available to attend site when necessary to deliver allocated works within the TRU OLE contract.
Requirements:
  • Experience of railway construction management for the OLE discipline, especially foundation works.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with site staff and project teams.
  • Knowledge of Risk Assessment processes, exclusion zones, working at height, and AC power systems.
  • Understanding of Railway planning systems.
  • PTS/COSS/IWA qualifications.
  • A valid driving license.
  • SMSTS (or SSSTS as a minimum).
