Location: HMP Wandsworth

Salary: Starting from £24,000

We are on the lookout for a committed Fabric Technician / Prison Escort to become a vital part of our team at HMP Wandsworth, a category B male correctional facility. At HMP Wandsworth, our operations resemble a self-sufficient community, requiring the collaboration of numerous professionals to maintain functionality. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, your contributions will be essential, influencing the safety and well-being of every inmate, staff member, and visitor, as well as extending to their families and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of skilled professionals, including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators.
  • Utilize your expertise to enhance the environment for rehabilitation and positive change.
  • Engage in activities that support the mission of promoting safety and security within the facility.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience in a correctional setting.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Background in building fabric or Hard FM environments.
  • Current First Aid at Work certification.
  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
