Fabric Technician (FM) - London

Carbon60 is seeking an experienced Fabric Technician/Handyperson to join their maintenance team at Heathrow Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out minor repairs to building fabric, handyperson and porter duties, and maintaining onsite Logbooks.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide excellent customer service through effective communication and personal accessibility.
  2. Carry out mechanical tasks such as changing taps, washers, light bulbs, toilet seats, door handles, etc.
  3. Perform minor reactive tasks within the agreed service level, including plumbing, fabric, and porter duties.
  4. Identify, report, and occasionally rectify defects and hazards as appropriate.
  5. Assist with management of domestic water systems to comply with L8 requirements.
  6. Occasionally supervise and escort subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual commitments and site operating processes.
  7. Maintain onsite Logbooks to ensure they are up to date with necessary documentation.
Requirements:
  1. Any form of trade qualification is beneficial (Fabric, Mechanical/Electrical).
  2. Awareness of Health & Safety obligations in Facilities Management Industry.
  3. Experience of working in Corporate and Industrial Facilities Maintenance environment.
  4. Experience within a customer-facing role, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
