Insurance Account Handler

At Howden Group Holdings, we're on the hunt for a skilled Account Handler to join our team. As an Account Handler, you'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring our clients receive the best possible advice and support.
Key Responsibilities:- Prioritize and handle all work promptly and accurately, ensuring seamless communication with clients and colleagues.
- Handle all queries, whether written or by telephone, in a professional manner and process effectively in line with service standards.
- Produce accurate and professional documentation at all times, maintaining the highest level of quality and attention to detail.
- Process adjustments in line with procedures, including notification to insurers, issue of revised documentation, and collection of additional premium.
- Refer all queries that fall outside your own experience, knowledge, and authority to senior staff, ensuring seamless escalation and resolution.
- Participate in re-marketing exercises, issuing renewal documentation, and dealing with client payments in line with Howden procedures.
- Contribute to data input and participate in meetings as and when required, demonstrating a proactive and collaborative approach.
- A minimum of 12 months' customer service experience is required for this role, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- A minimum of 12 months' administration experience is required for this role, with a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A good level of technical insurance skills, to be assessed by regular in-house testing, ensuring a deep understanding of insurance products and services.
- Good negotiation and broking skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality and precision.
- Ability to process work quickly and efficiently, with a proactive approach to meeting deadlines and delivering results.
- Good literacy and numeracy, with a strong focus on clear and effective communication.
- 5 GCSE A*-C including Maths and English, demonstrating a strong foundation in core subjects.
