Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Specialist Instructional Officer in Aeronautical Engineering. As a key member of our Mechanical Training Squadron, you will be responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs to our students, ensuring they receive the highest quality education and skills to excel in their careers.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Ministry of Defence and contribute to the development of our future engineers. As a Specialist Instructional Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering training programs in Aeronautical Engineering, including classroom and practical instruction
  • Assessing training needs and identifying areas for improvement
  • Creating and delivering training materials, including course-specific handouts and instructional aids
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs
  • Collaborating with other instructors and training staff to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive training program

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 General Engineering qualification (with skills transferable to AE mechanical)
  • Desirable: Level 3 Aeronautical Engineering (AE) Mechanical qualification
  • Desirable: CertEd (or higher) teaching/training qualification
