About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our team at Amazon UK Services Ltd. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of operations professionals to ensure the smooth running of our Fulfilment Centres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement a culture of safety and wellbeing within the team
  • Analyse and implement changes to improve quality and productivity
  • Oversee projects to streamline processes and improve customer service
  • Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices
A Day in the Life

You will work on a shift pattern at one of our Fulfilment Centres, ensuring that it is as productive as possible. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety and uphold quality and shift performance standards. You will also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation.

About the Team

Our Customer Fulfilment team is the foundation of our business, handling over 1.5 million orders every day. We are a dynamic and fast-paced team that is always looking for ways to improve and innovate. As an Area Manager, you will be part of a team that is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and ensuring that our operations are safe, efficient, and of a high quality.

Requirements
  • A bachelor degree
  • Relevant experience in people management
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  • High proficiency in English language
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques
  • AR Experience Recommended
  • Experience working in another logistics environment
  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
