About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health Team in East Cornwall. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement occupational therapy plans to support individuals with mental health conditions, including those with complex and challenging needs.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.
  • Contribute to the development and review of group work programs, including ECS and Compassionate Minds.
  • Support the development of Occupational Therapy support worker role within the team.
  • Contribute to the development of the Trust Occupational Therapy Service and best practice initiatives.

Person Specification

Essential

  • HCPC registration
  • BSc/Diploma in Occupational therapy
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification or equivalent specialist experience
  • Experience of working within multidisciplinary services within the community
  • Current experience within a mental health setting
  • Proven experience of working with patients with complex and challenging needs
