Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. As a Neonatal Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to neonates and their families
  • Lead and coordinate shifts, ensuring seamless care delivery
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote family-centered care
  • Contribute to education and training programs for nursing staff
  • Participate in research and quality improvement projects to advance neonatal care

Our community services for adults are provided in people's homes, community centers, clinics, GP practices, community hospitals, and our main hospitals.

Requirements
  • Registered Children's Nurse, Registered Nurse, or Registered Midwife
  • Qualification in Speciality
  • Teaching and assessing qualification
  • Recent experience at senior staff nurse level within neonatal nursing
  • Evidence of clinical competence in neonatal nursing skills
  • Evidence of ability to assume a lead clinical role
