Commissioning Engineer Role Overview

J3A Recruitment is proud to be supporting a leading organization in the water industry. A Tier 1 Contractor with a strong track record of success in AMP 7 is now seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a background in commissioning and a strong understanding of the water industry. They will be responsible for reviewing tender documentation, preparing submission documentation, and assisting in commissioning reviews at the design stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review tender documentation and prepare submission documentation for commissioning and handover
  • Assist in commissioning reviews at the design stage
  • Review mechanical and electrical specifications, drawings, and technical submittals for potential installation and commissioning issues
  • Work with the production team to develop a detailed commissioning delivery plan

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Work with project teams to generate commissioning plans during the project brief/outline design stage
  • Develop and implement robust commissioning processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with project managers to provide technical expertise and deliver commissioning activities

Requirements

  • Previous commissioning experience in the water industry (mechanical, electrical, and ICA works)
  • Training to HNC/ONC level or equivalent
  • SMSTS/SSSTS qualification
  • Suitable CSCS card
