Role Overview
As a Commissioning Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all commissioning activities are executed to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to guarantee that all tasks are completed in accordance with an established timeline.
- Verifying that all outputs, including necessary documentation and training materials, meet the specifications set forth by Thames Water.
- Providing assurance throughout all stages of project execution, which involves evaluating contractor and consultant documentation for feasibility, commissioning, and final execution.
- Integrating new systems into existing facilities while proactively engaging with operational teams to mitigate risks to ongoing processes.
- Leading a diverse team of engineers to facilitate successful project delivery.
This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing flexibility to work from home while requiring travel across various Thames Water regions 2-3 days a week.
The ideal candidate must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle, with a car allowance of £5,800 included in the compensation package.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, and control system engineering related to the commissioning of new plant assets.
- Possession of an Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Extensive experience in commissioning processes.
- Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team effectively.
- Strong relationship-building skills with all stakeholders involved.
- Capability to manage a variety of physical and digital deliverables to meet specified requirements and ensure client satisfaction.
Benefits
Joining the Major Projects division of Thames Water Capital Delivery provides the opportunity to engage in significant projects as they transition to critical system commissioning phases. You will be part of a skilled multi-disciplinary team, offering leadership and guidance to ensure seamless commissioning and handover of new assets. The role includes:
- A competitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £78,000 annually.
- A car allowance of £5,800 per year.
- 26 days of annual leave, increasing to 30 with tenure, in addition to public holidays.
