Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in the Water South region. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the effective and efficient commissioning management of mechanical, electrical, and public health services.
Key Responsibilities- Commissioning Management: Assist in the commissioning management of mechanical, electrical, and public health services, ensuring that all systems are installed, tested, and commissioned to the required standards.
- Tender Documentation: Review tender documentation to ensure that all necessary commissioning requirements are met, and prepare submission documentation as required.
- Commissioning Procedures: Assist in the development and implementation of commissioning procedures to ensure that all systems are commissioned in accordance with the client's requirements.
- Commissioning Plans: Assist in the preparation of detailed commissioning plans and strategies to ensure that all systems are commissioned efficiently and effectively.
- Liaison and Communication: Liaise with project teams, building services managers, clients, consultants, and services subcontractors to ensure that all commissioning requirements are met.
- Site Visits: Visit sites prior to planned commissioning to ensure that installation and the building itself are ready for commissioning.
- Commissioning Meetings: Attend commissioning meetings with project teams to ensure that all commissioning requirements are met.
- Documentation: Collate all mechanical and electrical commissioning documentation for O&M manuals.
- Snagging and Rectification: Attend to and rectify any commissioning or snagging issues post-practical completion throughout the defects liability period.
- Commissioning Knowledge: Knowledge of commissioning principles and practices.
- Computer Skills: Good computer skills, including proficiency in commissioning software.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to sites as required.
- SMSTS and CSCS: Possession of SMSTS and CSCS qualifications.
