About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) in a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with PMLD, tailoring activities to meet their individual needs.
  • Assist with personal care duties, including toileting, feeding, and mobility support, ensuring the students' comfort and dignity.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work with teachers to adapt lessons and resources.
  • Use sensory and therapeutic activities to engage students and support their development.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, communicating effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, following safeguarding procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young adults with PMLD or similar complex needs.
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach, with a strong commitment to supporting students with disabilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with teachers, healthcare professionals, and families.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, care, or SEN support are desirable but not essential.
