About the Role

GKN Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Proposal and Contract Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a critical role in the preparation and submission of proposals to secure new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our customers' needs and requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define proposal requirements and develop compelling proposals
  • Conduct thorough analysis of estimates and ensure alignment with customer requests
  • Compile and analyze data to support proposal development and pricing negotiations
  • Provide strategic support to the executive team and maintain historical bid information
  • Frequent contact with customers, management, and government representatives
  • Assist with the preparation of quote presentations and negotiate pricing with customers
  • Support the company's commitment to safety and environmental protection

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Program Management, Finance, or related field
  • 3 years of experience in business development in manufacturing and/or production operations
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • US Citizenship per ITAR regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • TINA experience
  • ITAR/EAR experience
  • FAR/DFAR Government Contracting experience
  • Strong math knowledge and business negotiation skills
