About the Role
GKN Aerospace is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Bids and Proposals Commercial Support Officer. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a critical role in supporting the preparation and execution of bids and proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define RFP requirements and gather input for bid completion.
- Accurately examine estimates of material, labor, and non-recurring charges to ensure alignment with customer requests.
- Compile and analyze data, conduct status meetings, and provide timely and accurate information to support executive decision-making.
- Frequent communication with customers, management, and government representatives.
- Assist in the preparation of quote presentations and negotiate pricing with customers.
- Support the company's commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and protecting the environment.
- Comply with all company policies and government regulations.
- Some travel may be required (approximately 5%).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Program Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in business development in manufacturing and/or production operations.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- US Citizenship per ITAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- TINA experience.
- ITAR/EAR experience.
- FAR/DFAR Government Contracting experience.
- Strong math knowledge.
- Business negotiation skills and abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize duties.
