Electrical Systems Specialist

GKN Aerospace is a leading manufacturer of aerospace components, and we're seeking an Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and implementing electrical systems for our Aviation Repair facility. This includes installing equipment, constructing foundations, and aligning machines. You will also be responsible for performing scheduled inspections and maintenance on machinery and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates facility layout plans to accommodate electrical needs of production equipment
  • Assembles and sets up electrical power layout and controls to support production equipment needs
  • Dismantles, moves, assembles, installs, and repairs industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions
  • Installs equipment using hand and power tools; constructs foundations; aligns machines; performs scheduled inspection and maintenance
  • Maintains and repairs plant facilities and building

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience using a volt meter to check for presence of voltage (0-480VAC) and basic electronics, electrical/electronic training, basic computer repair
  • 2+ years of experience with motor control circuits, contactors, VFDs, servos, and 3-phase motor setup and troubleshooting experience

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, climb, reach at or above shoulder level, and kneel
  • Occasionally must squat, balance, work at heights, and push or pull wheeled items weighing 350 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 60 pounds independently or up to 100 pounds with assistance

Compensation Range

The compensation for this role is between $35.00 - $38.00 per hour.
