Financial Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Financial Assistant to join our team at Sammons Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management of client bank accounts, reconciling accounts, and accurately allocating self-assessment receipts and calculating disbursements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile client accounts and ensure accurate financial records
  • Prepare and provide invoicing data to our outsourcing partners
  • Process daily and weekly payments for Self-Assessment rebates
  • Generate and manage Self-Assessment invoices efficiently
  • Oversee credit control collections across all company products and coordinate closely with the underwriting team
  • Maintain timely and effective communication with clients via phone and email, promptly resolving any issues or queries
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and third parties
  • Adhere strictly to departmental processes and procedures, ensuring full compliance
  • Proactively identify and suggest improvements to processes and procedures to enhance standards, efficiency, and profitability
Key Skills:
  • Strong understanding of accountancy and tax regulations
  • Experience in an office or accountancy environment
  • Excellent IT skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
