Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Scrap Metal Trader to join our team at Aspion Search. As a key member of our metal trading team, you will be responsible for purchasing non-ferrous materials from large manufacturers and developing strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing: Purchase non-ferrous materials, with a focus on titanium and aluminium, from large manufacturers.
  • Relationship Building: Visit new leads and existing customers 3 days a week, developing strong and lasting relationships.
  • Business Development: Explore new business opportunities and maintain relationships with current suppliers.
  • Procurement Management: Manage the full buying process, negotiating the best prices and ensuring high-quality supply.
  • Travel: Overnight stays may be required.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the scrap metal industry, specifically dealing with non-ferrous materials.
  • Experience buying from manufacturers (preferably) or scrap merchants.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight when necessary.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word.
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
