About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at The Pier House. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, bar, and hotel-style rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take charge of the restaurant when the General Manager is away, motivating the team to deliver high-quality service and ensuring everything runs efficiently.
  • Create a warm welcome for guests, making every first impression count to ensure experiences delight from the start.
  • Monitor customer feedback to maintain high standards and make improvements where necessary.
  • Support the full team, including Front and Back of House, during peak times to ensure a consistently high level of service.
  • Oversee the production of a quality food offering and recognize the importance of the Kitchen Team.
  • Provide support and guidance to team members when needed, drawing on your wealth of experience in a similar role.
  • Ensure all admin and cash management systems are running smoothly, taking responsibility when the General Manager is away.
  • Stay up-to-date with health and safety regulations and ensure the team is aware of their responsibilities.
  • Be an inspiring role model and a source of support and development for team members.
  • Pursue your own development and career progression, with an eye towards becoming a General Manager in the future.
