Candidate Profile:
- Possession of a Higher National Diploma in a relevant scientific discipline or a minimum of two years' experience in a UKAS accredited laboratory.
- Exceptional organizational abilities to prioritize tasks effectively and manage daily responsibilities with minimal oversight.
- A proactive approach, willing to engage in hands-on tasks across various levels.
- Strong time management skills, capable of thriving under pressure and adhering to strict deadlines.
- Proficient in IT, particularly with MS Office applications.
- Adaptable to varying work hours as needed.
This position involves supporting the laboratory's daily operations and reporting directly to the Team Leader. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting sample analyses in line with established technical standards and client specifications, as directed by senior personnel.
- Compiling analysis results and preparing comprehensive reports for review and distribution to clients by authorized personnel.
- Managing inventory and receipt of laboratory supplies.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment to ensure compliance with operational and calibration standards.
- Reporting technical issues and non-conformance to the line manager, providing necessary technical details.
- Fostering a collaborative team environment to enhance performance and achieve objectives.
