Health and Safety Specialist

Elta-NI Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the company maintains all required certifications and is legally compliant in all its health, safety, and environmental activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in maintaining all required HS&E certifications and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory HS&E requirements.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in HS&E legislation and ensure the company is informed and compliant.
- Assist in developing, updating, and implementing HS&E policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of the HS&E management system.
- Organize and facilitate HS&E training sessions for employees.
- Promote HS&E awareness through various initiatives and communications.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and implementing risk control measures.
- Record and investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and present HS&E performance reports to senior management.
- Maintain accurate HS&E records and documentation.
- Manage local office supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate office maintenance and repairs.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Provide administrative support to the Managing Director, including scheduling meetings and managing communications.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other documents as required.
- Relevant HS&E certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a similar role within an HS&E environment.
- Experience in office administration and support functions.
- Strong knowledge of HS&E legislation and best practices.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
