Job Description

**Job Title:** Compliance Officer

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our team at Red Door Recruitment. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our client's compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Work collaboratively with various departments to enhance compliance awareness and processes.
  • Implement the Business Continuity Plan to ensure seamless operations in the event of disruptions.
  • Deputize for the Compliance Manager, Environmental & Compliance Officer, and Compliance Administrator as needed.
  • Manage the updating of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct regular check sheets and questionnaires to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and document nationwide Fixed Asset audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead the administration of various Compliance & Legal training activities to ensure employees are aware of their compliance responsibilities.
  • Manage the setup and maintenance of SAP system user profiles to ensure secure access and compliance.
  • Ensure the issue of the Compliance New Starter Induction Pack to new employees to ensure they understand their compliance responsibilities.
  • Support the maintenance of all necessary requirements to retain the Branch ISO14001 accreditation.
  • Support the reporting of Battery and WEEE data on a quarterly basis as a regulatory compliance obligation.

**Requirements:**

  • 3+ years of experience in compliance, preferably in an environmental compliance role.
  • Knowledge of ISO14001 is desirable.
  • IT competence and confidence using MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
  • Experience of working to deadlines and motivating/monitoring others.
  • GCSE level or equivalent education.
