Job Title: Electronics Support Engineer

Location: Flexible working arrangements available. Salary: Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities: Develop and design electronic systems, from initial specifications to operational deployment. Maintain and enhance existing electronic designs, integrating new technologies as required. Assist in off-site testing activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Conduct evaluations of high voltage systems using specialized testing equipment. Perform testing on customer platforms to validate system performance. Translate technical requirements into detailed design specifications. Select components, create schematics, and support PCB layout processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and thermal engineering, to ensure integrated solutions. Follow engineering lifecycle processes, conducting reviews and assessments. Design and demonstrate system integrations effectively. Analyze fiber optic systems utilizing power meters and OTDRs.

Required Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess a degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering or a closely related field, with experience in one or more of the following:

Experience in defense or high-integrity safety environments. Proven ability to generate component-level designs for mass production using computer-aided engineering tools. Strong expertise in analog circuit analysis and understanding of basic analog signal processing techniques. Knowledge of power supply design and decoupling strategies. Experience with analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion processes. Integration, design validation, and troubleshooting skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

Familiarity with fiber optics, power electronics, and testing methodologies is advantageous. Ability to collaborate with PCB designers to optimize circuit layouts for electromagnetic compatibility. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent, or actively pursuing such qualifications.
