Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Gap Technical Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Routine Maintenance and Inspection

Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and resolve any issues before they escalate. Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.

Equipment Repairs and Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Utilize your technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.

Emergency Response and On-Call

Provide prompt response to equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime. Work on-call as needed to address urgent maintenance issues outside of regular working hours.

Health and Safety

Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate measures to address them. Promote a culture of safety and compliance among the maintenance team.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts inventory. Prepare reports on equipment status, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.

Requirements
  1. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Engineering.
  2. Experience with conveyor systems, packaging machinery, and other industrial equipment.
  3. Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  4. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  6. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is advantageous.
