Job Introduction
We're currently seeking a skilled Electrical Network Technician to join our team in Merthyr Tydfil. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of our underground and overhead network up to 66kV.
Main Responsibilities
- Network operations, including the issue of Limitations of Access and Permit to Work safety documents up to 66kV
- Construction of distribution substations, construction and alteration of overhead lines and associated plant, installation of plant, laying and jointing of cables up to 11kV
- Repair and replacement of faulty and obsolete plant, cables, and overhead lines
- Recording asset routes, details, and positions
- Recording plant details
- Connecting generators
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices. You'll also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and problem-solving skills.
