About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate Night Care Assistant to join our team at William Wood House in Sudbury. As a Night Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential care to our customers, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

As a member of our team, you will be expected to embody our values of empathy, respect, and dignity, providing high-quality care that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to customers, including assistance with daily living activities.
  • Administer medication as required, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
  • Support customers through temporary or terminal illness, providing emotional and practical support.
  • Assist with eating and drinking, ensuring customers' nutritional needs are met.
  • Perform light domestic duties, such as bed making, to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Support customers with social, physical activities, and mental stimulation, such as hobbies and recreation.

Person Specification
  • Care Certificate, desirable.
  • QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, desirable.
  • Full driving licence, desirable.

Please note that to be eligible for the £750 joining bonus, you must meet the following criteria:

  • If you have not been working in the care industry for the previous 2 years OR have come straight from education (e.g., college, sixth form, apprenticeship).
  • You must be employed for a minimum of 8 hours per week.
  • The scheme must be a CQC registered provider in Suffolk.
  • You must work for at least 12 weeks with Orwell and pass this starting period to qualify for the payment.
