About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an English and Maths Lecturer at Dovetail and Slate Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of adult learners in a prison education setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs in English and Maths, as well as Functional Skills, to adult learners in a prison environment.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of learners.
  • Assess and evaluate learner progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective education program.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum materials and resources.
Requirements
  • Five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics.
  • A Degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work.
  • Teaching Qualification.
  • Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies.
  • Excellent team working, communication, and interpersonal skills.
