About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Band 6 or progression Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist to join our expanding Orthopaedic team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting individuals recovering from orthopaedic conditions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with complex needs, incorporating physical, psychological, and social factors.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote functional independence and enhance patient well-being.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to patients, families, and carers regarding orthopaedic conditions and rehabilitation strategies.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of clinical services within the department.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC).
  • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (BSc OT).
  • Proven experience working within an acute orthopaedic setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSc OT).
  • Experience in orthopaedic rehabilitation techniques.
