Role Summary

As a key player in the Quality Assurance team, your primary responsibility will be to conduct essential evaluations that facilitate the manufacturing of top-tier medical products. You will also provide technical assistance for new product initiatives and ongoing research, while ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Your role will primarily take place in the analytical laboratory, where you will utilize various testing apparatus in both physical assessments and chemical analyses.

Main Responsibilities

  • Implement testing protocols and compile reports to support Quality Assurance Analytical.
  • Prepare in-house reagents for Quality Assurance Analytical.
  • Advocate for and maintain quality standards across manufacturing and other departments as necessary.
  • Manage laboratory workflow with a focus on safety and precision.
  • Ensure timely processing and prioritization of samples.
  • Input data into relevant spreadsheets and databases.
  • Oversee the receipt of laboratory chemicals and reagents.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the laboratory and ensure proper washing of glassware.
  • Conduct all testing in accordance with the laboratory's standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure that all generated data is accurately managed and contains all necessary information for precise interpretation of results.
  • Complete data entry within established deadlines.
  • Initiate laboratory investigations as needed.
  • Order and replenish equipment for all Quality Assurance Analytical tests.
  • Review and co-sign the work of colleagues.
  • Support additional Quality Assurance functions as required, including Receiving/Inspection and Product Release.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • HNC in Chemistry or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Essential previous laboratory experience.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient in operating relevant testing instruments.
  • Ability to analyze test results and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and business needs.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and ERP systems.
  • Experience with AAS is advantageous.
