Position Overview
We are seeking a Laboratory Quality Assurance Specialist at our Advanced Wound Care Facility in Winsford, Cheshire. This is a permanent position.
As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will conduct essential tests that underpin the production of our leading medical products. You will also provide technical assistance for new product initiatives and ongoing research, while ensuring compliance with quality protocols.

It is vital to guarantee that our products are both effective and safe for use by patients and healthcare professionals, making this role crucial to our operations.
The primary responsibilities will vary but will focus on our analytical laboratory, utilizing various testing equipment in both physical testing and wet chemistry domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute testing protocols and generate necessary reports to support Quality Assurance Analytical.
- Prepare in-house reagents for Quality Assurance Analytical.
- Promote and maintain quality standards across Manufacturing and other departments as needed to support Quality Assurance Analytical.
- Organize laboratory workload with a focus on safety and precision, ensuring timely processing and prioritization of samples.
- Input data into relevant spreadsheets and databases.
- Manage the intake of laboratory chemicals and reagents.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and manage glassware washing.
- Ensure all testing adheres to the laboratory's standard operating procedures.
- Oversee the smooth management of generated data, ensuring it contains all necessary information for accurate result interpretation, completed within established deadlines.
- Initiate laboratory investigations as required.
- Order and replenish equipment for all Quality Assurance Analytical tests.
- Review and co-sign the work of colleagues.
- Support additional Quality Assurance functions as needed, including Receiving/Inspection and Product Release.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- HNC in Chemistry or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Essential previous laboratory experience.
- Excellent organizational capabilities.
- Proficient in operating relevant testing instruments.
- Ability to analyze test results and compile comprehensive reports.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and business requirements.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Lotus Notes, and ERP systems.
- Experience with AAS is a plus.
