**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fostering Panel Advisor to join our team at Semester. As a key member of our Fostering Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of care and support for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and monitor fostering practices and performance to promote service improvement and achieve good inspection outcomes.
  • Ensure effective quality assurance mechanisms and systems are in place to achieve excellence and positive outcomes for children, prospective Foster Carers, and approved Foster Carers.
  • Manage the panel system, liaising between the Agency and the Fostering Panels, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with required timescales as per Fostering regulations 2011 and National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services 2011.
  • Contribute towards high-quality placements for children and ensure the voice of the child is heard within the Panel process.
  • Support the Chair and Agency Decision Maker through appropriate challenge and disseminate relevant research in fostering to maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal frameworks and regulations.
  • Quality assure reports prepared for Panel to ensure they are comprehensive and comply with Rotherham Council's Fostering policies and procedures.
  • Implement and update policies and procedures in line with Fostering regulations.
