About the Role:

The Aurora Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Designated Safeguarding and Pastoral Lead to join our leadership team across our services in Meldreth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management of safeguarding issues both on and off site, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our residents and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory guidelines, CQC and Ofsted regulations.
  • Coordinate the effective implementation of the Attendance Policy and provide relevant training to staff.
  • Provide behaviour and safeguarding training to staff through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and ensure all relevant compliance is completed.
  • Communicate with parents, carers, employees, other agencies, and local authorities on the progress of children and young people and the effectiveness of intervention and support strategies.
  • Exercise a key role in advising and assisting the Service Leads with the strategic development of behaviour, pastoral, wellbeing, and preparing for adulthood offers, including reviewing and formulating policies.
