Role Overview:

The Priory Wellbeing Centre Birmingham is a premier outpatient facility dedicated to providing tailored therapy for individuals of all ages, including children and adolescents. Our clinic collaborates closely with the Priory Hospital Woodbourne to ensure seamless care transitions should inpatient treatment be required.

In response to the growing need for mental health services, we are expanding our cadre of Consultant Psychiatrists. We are particularly interested in Consultants specializing in General Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

This role allows for a combination of in-person and remote consultations, providing flexibility in practice.

Candidates will need to register with various private medical insurance providers to cater to our corporate clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide treatment for a diverse outpatient demographic.
  • Supervise the care of inpatients within your area of expertise.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and governance activities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • GMC registration with the relevant specialist qualifications.
  • Experience in psychiatry, particularly in substance misuse.
  • Strong understanding of Clinical Governance and regulatory standards.
  • Successful completion of a DBS check, funded by Priory.
