Phlebotomy Service Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Ashford and St Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Phlebotomy department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our phlebotomy services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform venepuncture and capillary sampling on patients and children in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Participate in the delivery and maintenance of an efficient Phlebotomy service, ensuring high standards of customer care and quality samples.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive patient care experience.
  • Attend mandatory training and continuing education courses to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and colleagues.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic patient records systems.
  • Ability to push trollies, stand for periods of time, and walk distances.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
