Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Services Support Officer to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our Estates department, you will play a crucial role in implementing Welsh Government's new recycling regulation requirements and undertaking environmental audits across our Health Board premises.
Main Duties
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting environmental audits in accordance with Health Board policies and procedures
- Assisting Technical Services Officers with service improvements, including progressing compliance to the recycling agenda
- Coordinating the collection of data and producing reports to highlight good practice and non-compliance in relation to waste, energy, and environmental management
- Leading on the implementation of waste recycling schemes to address the Environment Act (Wales) and providing ongoing compliance auditing

Person Specification
Essential qualifications include GCSE English and Maths at C and NVQ3 plus IOSH/NEBOSH Environmental Management Qualification equivalent to diploma level. Desirable qualifications include experience of working within waste/environmental fields or knowledge of waste/environmental fields.
