Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Services Support Officer to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our Estates department, you will play a crucial role in implementing Welsh Government's new recycling regulation requirements and undertaking environmental audits across our premises.

Main Duties

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting environmental audits in accordance with Health Board policies and procedures
  • Assisting Technical Services Officers with service improvements, including progressing compliance to the recycling agenda
  • Coordinating the collection of data and producing reports to highlight good practice and non-compliance in relation to waste, energy, and environmental management
  • Leading on the implementation of waste recycling schemes to address the Environment Act (Wales) and providing ongoing compliance auditing

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • GCSE English and Maths at C
  • NVQ3 plus IOSH/NEBOSH Environmental Management Qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of working within waste/environmental fields (desirable)
