Job Title: Consultant Obstetrician

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Consultant Obstetrician to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Obstetrician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to women with obstetric and gynaecological conditions.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in obstetrics and gynaecology, with experience in managing complex cases and providing leadership to junior medical staff. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop care pathways and clinical guidelines, and will be expected to contribute to the development of our department's standards and procedures.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work effectively in a team environment. About the Role
  • Provide high-quality care to women with obstetric and gynaecological conditions
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop care pathways and clinical guidelines
  • Contribute to the development of our department's standards and procedures
  • Provide leadership to junior medical staff
  • Participate in educational programs for junior medical staff
Person Specification
  • MRCOG or equivalent
  • Full GMC Entry onto the Specialist Register
  • or within 6 months of CCT date at interview
  • ATSM in Advanced Labour ward practice or equivalent
  • Able to perform Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
  • MOET/ALSO or equivalent training
  • PROMPT trained and faculty
  • ATSM in Gynaeoncology
  • ATSM Benign gynaecological surgery
  • BSCCP Certified Colposcopist
  • Published research in peer reviewed journal
