About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of junior doctors, and contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and pathways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultant-led care to patients with obstetric and gynaecological conditions
  • Lead a team of junior doctors and provide educational and clinical support
  • Develop and maintain good working practices with wards, out-patients, and the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to promote close working links and improve patient care
  • Ensure appropriate information is made available to staff to measure clinical performance and enable meaningful benchmarks to be established and evaluated
Person Specification
  • MRCOG or equivalent
  • Training & experience equivalent to that required for UK CCT
  • Full GMC
  • ATSM in Advanced Labour ward practice or equivalent
  • ATSM in Gynaeoncology or equivalent
  • Able to perform Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
  • Excellent clinical skills and experience in the management of labour and high risk antenatal care
